I have been at Bangkok Prep since 2011. During my time here I have seen the school continue to grow and develop and I am very proud to lead such a wonderful school. During my tenure I have had many roles including Head of House, Head of English, Curriculum Lead, Year Leader and Deputy Head of Primary and now Head of Primary. I am also getting a brand new perspective of Prep as I follow the progress of my daughter Luna. I'm very proud that she has the opportunity to join Bangkok Prep and feel that she is at the RIGHT school to reach her full potential!
I believe that all decisions we make should be focused upon what is best for the children. It is important that we work together with parents to deliver the best possible learning experience for the our wonderful children here at Prep. We have a fantastic community and I am continually surprised (and impressed) by the level of support we receive from our amazing parents!
If I can help in any way, please do let me know!
I am going into my 11th year working at Bangkok Prep, 12th year teaching Internationally and prior to that I qualified and then worked in an Outstanding school in Durham in the UK. I have an MA in International Education, MA in Psychology and NPQH.
I wholly believe that a child’s success cannot be measured on scholarly achievements alone, and although curriculum subjects are vital to a child’s education, nourishing the child by providing experiences through residentials, trips, links with the wider and International community are important. I also have a huge passion for ICT and technology and try to integrate this into the curriculum and my role wherever possible.
I am a proud mum of my 4 year old son who is in our Reception!
I am very excited to begin my third year at Bangkok Prep and love being part of this vibrant community. I thoroughly enjoyed my first year Assistant Head of Assessment and am looking forward to another busy and productive year ahead.
I began my career in the UK at a primary school in Stoke on Trent, where I held various positions such as Head of Maths and Assistant Head Teacher. Seeking new challenges, I moved to Shanghai and worked at Harrow International School as Head of Pastoral Development and Upper Key Stage 2 Leader.
I firmly believe that education should be holistic and that all decisions should be made with the best interests and wellbeing of the children as the priority. As Assistant Head of Assessment, I will be working closely with class teachers and year leaders to ensure we gather data that informs personalised learning experiences for every child.
I am extremely proud to be in my eighth year at Bangkok Prep. Teaching is the best job in the world and I feel very lucky to be part of such a wonderful community. I am wlays excited by the challenge of my role as assistant head of curriculum. Our school has a broad and rich curriculum that has developed significantly over recent years and I am thrilled to help refine what is taught in our school. I consistently speak about the importance of balance in life. Our school is a unique place that provides balance for your child. Lessons are high-quality and engaging whilst being lead by teachers who always prioritise the wellbeing of your child.
I grew up in South East London and although I love London, I am proud to live in Thailand. After leaving school at the age of 18, I worked for several years in London in private banking. I quickly learnt that I wanted to work in a more dynamic job where everyday is different. Having lots of teachers in my family, I felt that I could be a good teacher and as soon as I started teaching I knew it was the right job for me. I am now fortunate enough to be a school leader at a great school. I feel passionate about leading fellow teachers and continuing to have a positive impact on the members of our school community.
I am very excited about the year ahead. As assistant head of curriculum, I will be working closely with our outstanding subject leaders among others to continue to refine our curriculum.
Hello to everyone at Bangkok Prep! My name is Jonathan, and I am the Assistant Head of Learning for the Primary School. I oversee several areas, including Learning Support, EAL, and staff development and training. A key responsibility of my role is promoting and supporting effective teaching strategies. This involves implementing and monitoring innovative teaching methods to enhance learning, ensuring that our teachers are equipped with the tools and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality instruction.
I grew up in Blackpool, in the Northwest of England, with strong Irish roots, often spending my school holidays in the Emerald Isle.
I began my career in education as a teaching assistant at The British School of Beijing. After completing my teaching qualifications, I continued teaching in Beijing in both Key Stage 1 and 2 for several years. I also spent a year in Myanmar as one of the founding teachers at the British School Yangon. I returned to the UK in 2015 and worked for eight years in two lovely but distinct prep schools in London. I bring five years of experience as a deputy headteacher and am also an experienced SENCo.

I'm incredibly excited to take on a new role as Head of Early Pathways at Bangkok Prep. I've been a part of the Bangkok Prep family since 2019, and I'm thrilled to continue my work within the Early Years, and supporting their families. As an Early Years specialist with over 15 years of experience, I'm passionate about giving all children a positive and exciting start to their educational journey. I began my career in London, teaching Nursery and Year 4, before moving to Abu Dhabi to work in Early Years and as a Year 1 lead. My family and I then relocated to Thailand, and I feel so privileged to not only work at Bangkok Prep but also have my children attend the school.
I believe that with the right encouragement, opportunities, and environment, all children can flourish, reach their full potential, and become independent learners. I am also passionate about ensuring our youngest students develop physically to lead healthy lifestyles, which supports their overall academic achievement.
I am delighted to be working alongside the Primary Leadership Team in my new role as Assistant Head for Wellbeing this year. Nothing is more important to me than the wellbeing of our students and staff and I look forward to engaging with as many members of our community as possible.
This is my 9th year at Bangkok Prep and I have enjoyed gaining a broad range of experience since joining the school, having previously been: The Year 3 Leader, Year 4 Leader, Designated Safeguarding Leader, and Primary Eco Schools Coordinator. Bangkok Prep is often described by our students as their "second home". Our community strength is one of the things I love most about our school. We want everyone to feel they belong here. As a diverse community with different lived experiences we listen to understand and learn from each other. Our differences are an asset. Equally, we are together in our desire to create, reflect and keep getting better.
My professional pathway began with a BSc in Biomedical Sciences, a range of leadership roles outside of schools and then a move to my vocation; education. I was honoured to receive the Ted Wragg Award when I completed my PGCE. I then accepted an offer to work at a wonderful and outstanding school in England. They trusted me (I led a large academic team in my first year) and they challenged and supported me. I learnt a great deal as a Specialist Leader of Education, a partnership lead for the Ogden Trust, a facilitator for the Northern Lights etc. Now at Bangkok Prep I see everyday how giving trust, challenge, support and opportunity are key to personal and professional growth.
It is a privelege to lead and learn in our school. I joined in 2014 looking for a community that put learning and learners first. Bangkok Prep is that community, ever evolving and always committed to doing our best together. Every day I am grateful for a purpose and community that galvanises my resolve to live by my values: Be honest. Be brave. Be kind.
